Welcome to Write with Milo
Write with Milo helps students start writing, return to writing projects, and use support tools when they get stuck.
Reports and Patterns summarize observable writing-process information for each Writer, such as getting started, progress toward writing goals, section growth, and support use.
- No student accounts required
- Teachers use non-identifying Writer labels, such as Writer 1 and Writer 2.
- Teachers create writing projects that students can reopen with the same project code
- Active projects autosave so students can continue across class sessions
- When a project is complete, writing should be copied into Google Docs or another school-approved application
- Completed projects move through a recovery window before stored writing is deleted
Students can use support tools including:
- Sentence Starter
- Get Ideas
- Get a Picture
- Voice-to-text
- Read-aloud support
What Write with Milo saves — and what it doesn't
Student writing is used only to support outlining, first-draft writing, and continuation across sessions.
Write with Milo stores non-identifying project and session information under Writer profiles such as Writer 1 or Writer 2.
Write with Milo does not store student writing long term, grade writing, analyze revisions, score grammar, or publish student work.
Reports summarize what happened during each Writer’s Sessions, such as how quickly writing started, how much writing was added, progress toward the writing goal, and whether new writing followed support.
